BBC Harvest 2013

I wanted to write a quick post about the recent BBC series on BBC 2 last week called 'Harvest 2013'. I found the programme really interesting to watch and felt it was a great programme for the non agricultural community to see. I loved how it portrayed how hard the farmers of Great Britain work, seven days a week, and the majority of the time over twelve hours a day.

The programme covered three types of harvest - vegetables, Wheat and fruit. My favourite of them all had to be the wheat programme as it showed how hard the farmers have to work the whole year round just to grow the wheat and other crops which help feed the nation.
